Figures you can check.
A tax figure is only useful if you can see where it came from. So nothing here is a black box.
The rules in the Act
The 24-month test, 12.5% on long-term gains, indexation for sales before 23 July 2024, and the 25% DTAA cap on the dividend credit.
Tested year by year
Checked against hand-worked examples for every financial year from 2022-23 to 2026-27, including losses set off and carried forward.
Working on every line
Dates and the exchange rate on each date in the calculator, and the section for each figure in the tax report, so your CA can check it.

Common questions
Is this official filing software?
No. It calculates and prepares statements under the Income-tax Act. You or your CA file the return, and you should check every figure first.
Which exchange rate should I use?
The SBI telegraphic transfer (TT) buying rate, which Rule 115 of the Income-tax Rules requires. Premium fetches it for each date; you can always type the rate your CA prefers.
Do I report US shares I haven't sold?
Yes, if you are resident and ordinarily resident. Every foreign holding goes in Schedule FA each year, whether or not you sold anything.
Annual plan or filing season?
Annual suits you if you add trades through the year; it renews each year until you turn renewal off. Filing season gives four months of Premium once, enough for June and July, and ends on its own.
